Genogram Pro documentation
Practical, step-by-step guides to building, organizing, and sharing genograms in the editor.
What is Genogram Pro?
Genogram Pro is an online editor for genograms: diagrams that map a family across generations, with its medical history and emotional relationships. Build on a visual canvas, record details for each person, and export or share the result. Your data is end-to-end encrypted, so only you can read it.
New to genograms? The Genogram Guide explains the symbols, lines, and clinical theory. These docs focus on the editor: how to get things done.
What you can build
- Multi-generation family diagrams in standard genogram notation.
- Medical genograms that track hereditary conditions with color-coded symbols.
- Emotional maps of closeness, conflict, cutoff, enmeshment, and more.
- Households, notes, text labels, and images layered onto the diagram.
- Diagrams generated from a plain-language description with the AI assistant.
How these docs work
The sidebar groups pages by task, and each page covers one feature. Press ⌘K / Ctrl K to search and jump to a topic. Pages link to the Genogram Guide for symbol and line meanings instead of repeating them.
